Position Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented professional to join our team as an Accounting & Business Operations Specialist.

This role owns core accounting functions—including full-cycle Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable—while also supporting key HR coordination and office operations. You will serve as a central partner across departments, helping ensure financial accuracy, efficient internal processes, and a well-run office environment.

This role is primarily accounting-focused (approximately 70–80%), with additional responsibility for HR and administrative operations. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys both accounting and operational responsibilities and wants to have a visible impact in a growing company.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting (Primary Focus)

  • Own full-cycle Accounts Receivable, including customer setup, credit applications, invoicing, payment posting, statements, and collections
  • Own full-cycle Accounts Payable, including vendor setup, expense entry, GRPO processing, and payment execution (ACH and check runs)
  • Process and review employee expense reports
  • Proactively identify, research, and resolve discrepancies or delays in AR/AP processes
  • Maintain and reconcile petty cash accounts
  • Identify and recommend improvements to accounting processes, workflows, and internal controls
  • Partner with Sales and Operations to support accurate revenue recognition and invoicing

Human Resources

  • Coordinate and execute key aspects of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and personnel record maintenance
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for day-to-day HR inquiries, providing timely and professional support to employees
  • Administer and track HR processes and documentation, ensuring accuracy, organization, and compliance with company policies
  • Support and coordinate benefits administration, including annual open enrollment and employee communications
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR workflows, systems, and documentation, and lead implementation of process improvements
  • Assist in developing and maintaining training materials and onboarding resources to support a consistent employee experience
  • Partner with leadership to ensure HR practices are efficient, scalable, and aligned with business needs
  • Help coordinate employee engagement initiatives and company events

Office & Business Operations

  • Oversee day-to-day office operations, including vendor coordination & facility needs
  • Maintain office inventory and supplies
  • Serve as a point of contact for incoming communications and general office coordination
  • Support cross-functional projects to improve operational efficiency

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • OR 5+ years of relevant accounting experience
  • Solid understanding of GAAP
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems (SAP Business 1 a plus)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
