About the Role

Brasada Ranch is seeking an Equipment & Vehicle Manager to oversee equipment and vehicle operations across the resort and golf course. This position keeps machinery safe, reliable and ready for daily use while managing maintenance schedules, shop organization and staff training.

General Responsibilities

• Oversee vehicles and equipment used throughout Brasada Ranch and the golf course.
• Perform preventive maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, inspections and minor repairs.
• Diagnose mechanical issues, recommend repairs and estimate costs.
• Maintain service records, track equipment hours and schedule preventive work.
• Sharpen, grind, adjust and replace reels and bedknives.
• Maintain an organized shop and appropriate inventories of tools, parts, fluids and filters.
• Ensure mowing equipment meets height-of-cut and quality-of-cut standards.
• Perform welding, fabrication and equipment repairs.
• Coordinate major repairs and outside service work.
• Inspect reels and mowers after daily use so equipment is ready for the next shift.
• Train and mentor the Shop Assistant and other employees in safe equipment operation.
• Promote accountability, teamwork and a positive shop culture.

Qualifications

• At least three years of golf-course maintenance, turf-equipment or related experience.
• Automotive, diesel or mechanical experience is preferred.
• Experience with diesel engines, heavy equipment, hydraulics, tractors and dump trucks.
• Knowledge of reel and bedknife sharpening, grinding, adjustment and replacement.
• Understanding of mowing practices and cut-quality standards.
• Welding and basic fabrication skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate service, maintenance and inventory records.
• Leadership experience and the ability to train and mentor employees.
• Valid driver’s license and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
