Position Overview

We are looking for experienced Dog Daycare Attendants/Overnight Attendants/Front Desk who are passionate about animal welfare and thrive in an active, growing and fast-paced environment.

In this role, you will work closely with dogs to ensure their safety, well-being, and positive social experiences. You will supervise playgroups, promote appropriate behavior using positive reinforcement, and help create a structured, enriching environment for every dog in our care.

This is a hands-on, high-energy, fast changing position ideal for individuals who are confident handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments and are committed to maintaining the highest safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely supervise and actively monitor dogs in group play at all times
  • Promote appropriate behavior using positive reinforcement techniques
  • Recognize and respond to canine body language to prevent incidents
  • Provide enrichment activities and structured engagement throughout the day
  • Feed, water, and care for dogs according to individual schedules
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment (playrooms, kennels, common areas)
  • Follow all cleaning and sanitation protocols
  • Complete daily report cards, behavior notes, and evaluations accurately
  • Record feeding, medications, and notes in Gingr software
  • Communicate clearly with team members and Front Desk staff

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of canine behavior and group dynamics
  • Ability to confidently handle dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Calm, observant, and proactive in high-energy environments
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Patient, compassionate, and team-oriented mindset
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to change pace quickly in a new and growing environment
  • Ability to share job duties and responsibilities from dog handler to front desk and floater

Preferred

  • Previous experience in dog daycare, animal care, or dog handling preferred

  • Remain engaged with dogs—this is an active, hands-on role
  • Maintain professionalism when interacting with clients and team members

  • Ability to handle chronic loud noise, animal waste and dogs jumping on you
