The Financial Accounting Clerk supports the Financial Accounting Department by maintaining accurate accounting records, processing financial transactions, and assisting with reporting and compliance. This role ensures the integrity, confidentiality, and timeliness of financial data while contributing to efficient accounting operations and excellent service to members and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Process full accounts payable cycle, including invoice matching, check preparation, and ledger reconciliation.
• Assist with month-end close, including depreciation, account balancing, and transaction review.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger and sub-ledger accounts.
• Review and close work orders, ensuring accurate cost allocation and compliance.
• Prepare and manage accounts receivable invoices, statements, and collections follow-up.
• Reconcile cash reports and bank accounts.
• Process insurance claims and maintain vendor relationships.
• Prepare documentation for audits and regulatory reporting.
• Provide backup support for payroll processing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate’s degree in accounting (preferred) with 2+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Excel, word processing, and database systems.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle high-demand situations.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork and customer service.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Wage – $60,000/yr DOE
