The Vacation Rental Manager is responsible to direct Housekeeping and Maintenance to ensure profitability and quality standards to achieve total guest and associate satisfaction. S/he is responsible for providing exceptional guest experience, operations, systems, supplies inventory, scheduling, forecasting, and department budget to maximize revenue.  The Vacation Rental Manager motivates and trains staff to provide the most exceptional guest service.

The Vacation Rental Manager shall strive to always provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests.  The Vacation Rental Manager will be responsible for exemplifying the Caldera Springs Culture, as well as promoting Caldera Springs as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a strong working relationship with all Caldera Springs businesses
  • Supports Lake House and Forest House operations as needed
  • Plans and conducts morning stand-up meetings
  • Strategically leads and directs all Caldera Springs vacation rentals operations
  • Prepares forecasts & reports, and leads the development of the Caldera Springs vacation rentals’ division budget
  • Provides strategic leadership to the Caldera Springs vacation rentals division to ensure optimal financial results
  • Works directly with property manager director to provide an exceptional customer experience
  • Works to ensure a high level of associate engagement and satisfaction
  • Provides project management support on all maintenance projects in Caldera Springs
  • Works collaboratively with co-workers on resort wide initiatives
  • Ensures home and building inspections programming exists and is effective
  • Ensures preventative maintenance program exists and is effective for homes and buildings
  • Operates department pursuant of OSHA requirements and guidelines
  • Prepares and conducts staff meetings
  • Follows up on all VIP blocks and inspects accommodations prior to arrival
  • Ensures responsible key control by teams
  • Manages timely completion of performance appraisals
  • Monitors time punches in UKG, as needed, ensuring accurate payroll for all associates and accurate labor reports and forecasting
  • Responsible for the development, training, and inspiration of staff for promotion
  • Empowers team to exceed service standards
  • Instills a calm, organized approach in all stressful situations
  • Works with HR to recruit and hire staff
  • Completes all proper new hire and termination paperwork as needed
  • Maintains a safe and pleasant work environment
  • Takes a proactive approach to coaching and counseling
  • Resolves guest issues promptly and with great care and effectiveness
  • Maintains a strong knowledge of hospitality trends
  • Provides general resort information for guests
  • Maintains an up-to-date working knowledge of all resort amenities, as well as any special events
  • Interacts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information
  • Upsells other resort services and amenities to guests
  • Always maintains a professional demeanor and attitude
  • Maintains a professional appearance. Follows all Sunriver Resort dress code standards
  • Remains alert, courteous, and helpful to the guests and colleagues at all times
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least two years Vacation Rental, Maintenance, or Housekeeping Management experience required
  • At least three years supervisory experience preferred
  • Prior Four or Five Diamond experience preferred
