Overview

Timber Kids Pediatric & Orthodontic Dentistry is looking for a FUN and energetic Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) that has a desire to grow with our pediatric dental practices. Candidates must be professional, outgoing, well-organized, reliable,
team-oriented and must absolutely love working with kids!

Position Schedule: 5 days per week, hours are generally 7:30am-5:00pm.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Greet and engage patients with respect and a smile.
  • Ensure patients are well informed and comfortable – before, during, and after their appointment – about their treatment and oral health.
  • Take and process dental radiographs, impressions and intraoral photos.
  • Prepares and sterilizes treatment room and equipment.
  • Provide chair-side assistance to Providers during treatment procedures.
  • Document dental care services by charting in patients’ records.
  • Maintain a clean, sterile, and patient-centric working environment.
  • Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g, OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, DOL,
  • Employee Handbook).

Qualifications

You will be required to possess the following:

  • Expanded Functions Dental Assistant certification required.
  • 1-3 years experience as an expanded functions dental assistant.
  • X-Ray license.
  • Quick learner with problem solving skills
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Technical and troubleshooting skills for software applications used for charting, patient records,
    scheduling, etc.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the desire for professional growth.
  • Be organized and possess a superior knowledge of dentistry and dental terminology.
  • TB Test Required
