Overview

The Turn Cafe at Crosswater Golf course is hiring a Cafe Attendant! The Turn Café offers casual snacks and made-to-order meals to fuel your round. Don’t forget to try our favorite local craft beers, mixed beverages, cider, and Oregon winesThe Café Attendant is responsible for performing general cashier and serving duties in the resort cafes.  They responsible for ensuring the standards of service in assigned outlets. The Café Attendant will assist with maintaining the AAA Four Diamond standards. The Café Attendant will always conduct themselves in a manner which supports the Core Values of Sunriver Resort: Trust, Open & Honest Communication, and Commitment. The Café Attendant shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. They will be responsible for exemplifying the Sunriver Resort Culture as well as promoting Sunriver Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!

Responsibilities

Takes guests orders using POS systemReceives proper and accurate payment from guestsDistributes appropriate changeAccurately reports tips and hours each shift using proper documentsAdheres to OLCC and Sunriver Resort policies and procedures Ensures bookkeeping policies and procedures are followed dailyAssists chefs/cooks with food preparationPrepares specialty drinksCounts money in cash drawers at the beginning of shift and end of shift to ensure the amounts are correct and there is adequate changeServes guests food and beverages tablesideWipes down tables and ensures cleanliness of café Informs and promotes guests of daily specialsChecks guests’ identification to ensure minimum age requirement for consumption of alcoholic beveragesRemoves dishes, glasses, silverware or other item from tables and countertops and takes them to the kitchen for proper sanitationFamiliarizes him/herself with menuOffers creative selling of products to guestsAnswers questions and/or makes recommendations on menus as neededExplains how various menu items are prepared, describing cooking methods and ingredientsTakes into consideration any special request, dietary issues made by the guestProvides general resort information for guestsOffers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests of Sunriver Resort including use of guest name & good eye contact with each guestMaintains an up to date working knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special eventsInteracts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary informationRestocks grab and go stations as necessaryUp sells other resort services and amenities to guestsEnsures final quality check on food and beverage prior to serving guests

Qualifications

High school education requiredPrior hospitality experience preferredAt least six months food & beverage experience preferred At least one year customer service experience preferred At least six months POS system experience preferredMust have or be able to obtain prior to start date a valid OLCC cardMust have or be able to obtain prior to start date a valid Oregon Food Handler’s permitAbility to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidaysMust have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the guests and associatesMust be able to frequently lift and carry up to 10 lbs and occasionally up to 30 lbsMust be able to occasionally push/pull up to 50 lbs
