Overview

The Golf Senior Greenskeeper at Crosswater Golf Course is responsible for assisting in the general upkeep and maintenance of the golf greens. They will be involved in the precision mowing of greens, tees, aprons, approaches, fairways, roughs, bunker maintenance, divot repair program, and a variety of golf course maintenance programs, such as aerifying, vericutting, and topdressing. The Golf Greenskeeper will assist in maintaining the AAA Four Diamond standards.  They will always conduct themselves in manner which supports the Core Values of Sunriver Resort: Trust, Commitment, Open and Honest Communication. They shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times and for exemplifying the Sunriver Resort Culture as well as promoting Sunriver Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!

Responsibilities

Properly mows greens, tees, approaches, fairways or roughs dailyOperates tractors, using specific attachments, to till, cultivate, and grade new turf areasAssists with landscaping; planting, cultivating, pruning, care of plants, shrubs and trees on golf courseCommunication with immediate supervisor as to course conditions and quality of cutPerform turf management activities with the goal being perfect turf quality and playing conditions including, but not limited to, precision mowing, aerifying, verticutting, topdressing, cup cutting, disease detection, recognition of irrigation problems, and special projects.Responsible for bunker maintenance Repairs divots throughout courseRakes sand trapsComplies with all Sunriver Resort’s policies, procedures and safety regulations Maintains a strong knowledge of emergency procedures

Qualifications

High school education or equivalent requiredThree to five years of experience and training on a golf courseMust be skilled in precision mowing and the operation of a wide variety of turf management equipmentMust be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permitMust have a valid Oregon drivers license and meet company driving standardsExcellent equipment operation skillsMust have good mechanical understanding and abilityMust have excellent leadership skillsMust have thorough understanding of the game of golf so as to understand the playability of the courseAbility to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidaysMust be able to work in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, cold, sun & heat);Must be able to stand  & walk throughout the day, including on uneven surfaces;Must be able to frequently lift, push, pull & carry up to 25 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs and very occasionally up to 75 lbs with assistance; Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel & twist on an frequent basis, sometimes for prolonged periods;May occasionally work with pesticides and be exposed to dust
