The Piney’s Café Pool Server is responsible for performing general cashier and serving duties in Piney’s Café. They is responsible for ensuring the standards of service in assigned outlets. The Piney’s Café Pool Server will assist with maintaining the AAA Four Diamond standards. They will always conduct themselves in manner which supports the Core Values of Sunriver Resort: Trust, Open & Honest Communication, and Commitment They shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. They are responsible for exemplifying the Sunriver Resort Culture as well as promoting Sunriver Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!
Responsibilities
Takes guests orders using POS systemReceives proper and accurate payment from guestsDistributes appropriate changeAccurately reports tips and hours each shift using proper documentsAdheres to OLCC and Sunriver Resort policies and procedures Ensures bookkeeping policies and procedures are followed dailyAssists chefs/cooks with food preparationProvides pool service to guests of The Forest HouseCounts money in cash drawers at the beginning of shift and end of shift to ensure the amounts are correct and there is adequate changeAdheres to proper cash drop procedures and closing out daily procedureServes guests food and beverages tableside/lounge chair sideWipes down all surfaces to ensure the cleanliness of the facility Informs and promotes guests of any specialsChecks guests’ identification to ensure minimum age requirement for consumption of alcoholic beveragesRemoves dishes, glasses, silverware or other item from tables and countertops and takes them to the kitchen for proper sanitationProcesses dishes through washer and puts away dishes, glassware and equipmentFamiliarizes him/herself with menuMaintains knowledge of beer/wine/signature cocktails offeredOffers creative selling of products to guestsAnswers questions and/or makes recommendations on menus as neededExplains how various menu items are prepared, describing cooking methods and ingredientsTakes into consideration any special request, dietary issues made by the guestProvides general resort information for guestsOffers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests including use of guest name & good eye contact with each guestMaintains an up to date working knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special eventsInteracts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary informationRestocks stations as necessaryUp sells other resort services and amenities to guestsEnsures final quality check on food and beverage prior to serving guestsAddresses any guest issue promptly and with concern
Qualifications
High school education requiredPrior hospitality experience preferredAt least six months food & beverage experience preferred At least one year customer service experience preferred At least six months POS system experience preferredMust be 21 years of ageMust be able to work in a fast paced environment Must have or be able to obtain prior to start date a valid OLCC cardMust have or be able to obtain prior to start date a valid Oregon Food Handler’s permitAbility to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidaysMust be able to frequently lift and carry up to 10 lbs and occasionally up to 30 lbsMust be able to occasionally push/pull up to 50 lbs
