The Irrigation Technician is responsible for providing a variety of skilled irrigation duties for the Sunriver Resort golf courses. They specialize in diagnosing, troubleshooting and repair of the course irrigation systems. The Irrigation Technician will assist with maintaining the AAA Four Diamond standards.  The Irrigation Technician will always conduct themselves in manner which supports the Core Values of Sunriver Resort: Trust, Open & Honest Communication, and Commitment. Responsibilities

Ensures the golf course and surrounding areas receive the appropriate amount of daily and nightly irrigation, including Central Programming and hand wateringRepairs the irrigation system as needed, regarding heads, valves, and pipingCompletes requests for irrigation and course parts and suppliesMaintains an appropriate inventory of irrigation parts and equipmentSupervises a small labor force for special projects, and perform other duties as directed by supervisorReports any irregularities in course turf quality or irrigation system irregularities to the Superintendent or Assistant SuperintendentEstimates time for projects as well as costsKeeps work records and completes jobs from work ordersPerforms irrigation installations Assists with the design of irrigation systemsDiagnoses and trouble shoot problems with irrigation systemsInstalls new irrigation systems on propertyManages daily work flow, schedules and special requestsEvaluates and services irrigation systemsMaintains a strong operable knowledge of controllers and valvesCommunicates all pertinent information to the Golf team

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalentPrior landscaping experience preferredPrior irrigation experience preferred Working knowledge of basic electricity and hydraulics related to an irrigation system, including automatic valves and controllers, and working knowledge of various types of pumps and pumping systems preferredPrior golf course experience preferredMust be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permitMust have valid Oregon Driver’s license and meet company driving standards Must be able to work with high level of autonmyMust be able to work with power operated landscaping equipmentMust be able to work in extreme weather conditions (rain, sleet, ice, snow and heat)Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidaysMust be able to repetitively lift, push, pull & carry up to 25 lbs, frequently up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 75 lbs;
