This position is Hybrid Remote Work. The duties of this position are performed remotely as well as at our central office in Prineville. The ability to report to Prineville is required when business or operational needs are dependent on onsite activities. Hybrid Remote Work will be determined upon hire.

What we are looking for:

As a Administrative Specialist 2 you will assist the District Business Manager in the ongoing direction of an agency program or operation performing administrative research, analysis, and/or evaluation in support of an agency program or operation. You will provide administrative support for Central Oregon District. This includes performing, payroll, fiscal, fire and non-fire billing tasks. Travel may be required for training or fire assignments. We are looking for someone who is able to implement policies, laws and procedures by interpreting and applying the information to various, and at times complex daily working situations. This position may serve as financial coordinator for local/other COD fires – responsible for technical and administrative functions required to establish, monitor, and prepare payment of fire suppression costs – this includes auditing fire suppression costs.

Minimum Qualifications

Three years of secretarial or administrative support experience that includes coordinating office procedures, preparing narrative and statistical reports, and administrative data collection and analysis;

OR

An associate degree in general office occupations and two years of secretarial or administrative support experience that includes coordinating office procedures, preparing narrative and statistical reports, and administrative data collection and analysis;

OR

An equivalent combination of education and experience.
