Deschutes Wilderness Therapy is seeking to hire an Admissions Coordinator to support and enhance the functions of our Admissions team. The ideal candidate must be a highly organized, action-oriented individual with strong communication skills and a team mindset that is aligned with our company core values. This position plays an integral role in the strength and organization of the company. The Admissions Coordinator will provide personalized administrative support in a well-organized and timely manner, is responsible for scheduling and planning tours for prospective parents and referral sources and will assist in all marketing efforts. They will be responsible for answering admission calls, admitting students, and effectively communicating critical information to all necessary departments before and after the admission. The Admissions Coordinator is expected to maintain positive relationships with all departments, referral sources, current and prospective parents, and sister programs.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Answering admissions inquiry calls
  • Being part of the Admissions on-call rotation
  • Oversee office responsibilities on site while the Admissions Director is away
  • Maintain and organize information through data entry
  • Act as the point of contact between the director and internal/external clients
  • Schedule meetings, appointments, and make travel arrangements for the Admissions Director
  • Answer questions via phone, email, and other resources as necessary
  • Maintain consistent updates through social media and marketing resources effectively
  • Maintain records system while keeping confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines
  • Keep positive relationships with current and potential clients, and alumni client families
  • Use research for effective health promotion
  • Host off-site meetings with Educational Consultants
  • Take the initiative while working independently, and use time wisely
  • Stay organized and keep filing systems maintained
  • Opportunity for company travel

 Skills Needed

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Proficient in computer technology
  • Knowledge of social media and social media marketing
  • Knowledge of data analysis and research techniques
  • Practical verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of HIPAA

  • Professional appearance
  • Excellent personal and interpersonal communication skills through all modes of communication

 Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required with a background in behavioral science, social work, or two years of equivalent work experience in a related field preferred
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
  • Must hold a valid driver license with a clean driving record
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
