Location: Bend

 

Compensation: $23.15/hour (plus $0.50/hour for bilingual Spanish)       

 

Hours: Regular full-time (40 hours/week)

NeighborImpact Housing Overview

NeighborImpact’s Housing program offers crucial assistance to individuals and families in need within Crook, Deschutes, and Jefferson counties, as well as the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs. The program can provide eviction prevention and deposit assistance, prioritizing applications based on need rather than a first-come, first-served basis.

Overview of Key Duties and Responsibilities:

The Coordinated Entry System (CES) is a consistent, community-wide intake process to match people that are at-risk of or are experiencing homelessness to existing community resources and housing that are best fit for their situation. NeighborImpact is the HMIS Lead Agency in the Central Oregon Continuum of Care, and we manage and administer the Coordinated Entry System with oversight from the Homeless Leadership Coalition (HLC).

The role of this position is to lead and improve the Coordinated Entry system and to provide the most equitable, timely, and effective interventions for these households. We seek a passionate and dedicated individual with excellent attention to detail and a drive to provide continued improvement across the region to enhance this system. Daily, this position will manage the By Name List making referrals to program openings and helping identify individuals who should be referred for housing navigation, case management, prevention services or other applicable community resources. This position will work closely with agencies participating in CES and the Central Oregon Continuum of Care. This position will be responsible for facilitation of trainings, work groups, and meetings regarding CES and the By Name List.

 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas: Social Services, Human Services and at least 3 years of experience in homeless services or with other systems of care required
  1. Or, in lieu of Bachelor’s degree, AA degree in a relevant area and at least 4 years of experience in homeless services or with other systems of care required
  2. Or, in lieu of any degree at least 5 years of experience in homeless services or with other systems of care required
  • Experience working with data systems, including data entry, required
  • Highly organized with attention to detail required
  • Intermediate-level experience working with Excel required
  • Ability to travel throughout the tri-county area regularly, even in inclement weather, using personal vehicle required
  • Experience in project coordination, meeting facilitation, and administering programs for low-income and unhoused population preferred
  • English/Spanish bilingual ability preferred
  • Required prior to date of hire and throughout employment: 
  1. Valid driver’s license 
  2. Proof of current auto insurance 
  3. Access to reliable transportation
  4. Satisfactory criminal background check
