The full-time Family Advocate / Family Advocate Lead is responsible for working together with law enforcement, medical providers, and social service agencies to create a supportive response to child abuse through a multi-disciplinary team approach. This role has an emphasis on supporting families in rural communities within the tri-county area including Warm Springs. (Final position will be based on experience and qualifications.)
Provide emotional support, child abuse education, collaboration, and connection to community resources, including helping to secure basic needs, administering mental health screening tolls, engaging in mental health services, and facilitating other community referrals. Working to address barriers and unique challenges to limited transportation and those with reduced access to services and economic hardships.
A successful Family Advocate must interact with a variety of people, handle administrative duties, be comfortable training on new information, and maintain accurate documentation for statistics and grant reporting purposes.

A Family Advocate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Services, Social Work, Sociology, or related field. A minimum of two (2) years of experience working with children and families in social work or a similar environment. Have strong communication and interpersonal skills; experience in managing multiple priorities and maintaining detailed documentation. We will look at a combination of education and years of experience as a substitute for education.
A Family Advocate Lead will have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Services, Social Work, Sociology, or related field. A minimum of three to five (3-5) years of experience working with children and families in social work or a similar environment. Have strong organizational and program development skills; previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred. We will look at a combination of education and years of experience as a substitute for education.
Although not required, the ability to speak Spanish is a strong asset in this position.

Starting Pay rate is $26.00/hour.
