As an Animal Care Attendant, you’ll provide the foundation of exceptional animal care. Through thoughtful daily routines, careful observation, and consistent husbandry, you’ll help create an environment where animals can heal, thrive, and prepare for reunification or adoption.

Compensation

The compensation range for this position is $17.62–$21.40 per hour. Starting pay is determined based on qualifications, relevant experience, and internal equity.

What You’ll Do

As an Animal Care Attendant, you’ll help ensure every animal receives exceptional daily care in a clean, safe, and enriching environment.

• Clean and disinfect kennels, dishes, crates, and animal housing according to established protocols.
• Provide daily feeding, prescribed diets, enrichment, and compassionate husbandry.
• Monitor animal health and behavior and communicate concerns promptly.
• Help reduce stress by maintaining consistent routines and enriching environments.
• Support surgery preparation and animal movement as directed.
• Maintain organized kennel areas, laundry, and shelter supplies.
• Support teammates, volunteers, and community service workers.
• Help prepare animals for successful reunification or adoption.

Previous animal care experience is helpful but not required. We’re looking for people who bring compassion, reliability, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.
