POSITION PURPOSE

Under the direction of the Director of Information Technology provide IT support to Central Willamette employees as a first level Help Desk Technician. Perform back-office IT operations.

Position Requirements

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide telephone, in-person and online support to end-users.
  • Respond to IT questions over the phone and/or transfer calls to other IT staff when necessary.
  • Provide update, status and completion information to managers and/or users, via voice mail, e-mail or in-person communication.
  • Perform daily, weekly and monthly IT operations (checklists).
  • Perform IT duties required to support employee job transitions (new employees, job transfers, employee departures, etc.)
  • Complete work order assignments as listed in the Help Desk system.
  • Assist in training employees in learning new company-provided applications and assists in problem solving for applications issues.
  • Perform installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of desktop computers, laptop computers, tablets, docking stations, printers, cash dispensers, signature pads, scanners, and peripheral devices.
  • Assist with the installation and maintenance of end user software applications.
  • Assist in the maintenance of branch office IT facilities.
  • Travel as needed to branch offices and other assigned locations.
  • Cooperate and work with co workers as a team member.
  • Perform all responsibilities in accordance with CW Values, compliance, regulatory and Information Protection requirements.
  • Attend training and comply with CWCCU policies and procedures as well as applicable State and Federal regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledgeable of MS Windows, MS-Office and other common PC software.
  • Familiarity with working on computers in a networking environment.
  • Knowledge of computer network systems, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure of time constraints.
  • Excellent aptitude for troubleshooting, attention to detail and multitasking.
  • Ability to establish an effective work schedule under supervision.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate degree in computer science or related (desired).
  • 2+ years work experience in a computer related field.
