JOB SUMMARY

The Operations Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in and maintaining the seamless operation of C.R. Contracting. The Operations Coordinator role will participate in strategic planning and be an integral member of the corporate team. This role will involve creating standardized operating processes for all operations roles, managing tool and equipment resources and inventory, and obtaining state licenses and ensuring proper construction licensing across multiple states. The Operations Coordinator will work closely and partner with division managers, project managers, construction teams and all other C.R. Contracting stakeholders.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES [TRAVEL, SUPERVISORY EXPECTATION, ETC.]

  • Ensure that all necessary permits, licenses and regulatory approvals are obtained before project start
  • Oversee development of projects and ensure proper project scheduling for construction projects, while working with Project Managers and Foreman to align timelines and resources correctly and at optimal level
  • Manage and maintain all equipment and tools necessary to conduct projects; communicate with COO on any new equipment purchases or repairs for recordkeeping and tax purposes
  • Manage logistics of equipment transport to and from job sites and coordinate rental equipment and vehicles as well as fuel purchasing and fuel card usage
  • Track and maintain records of vehicle and equipment assignments; manage all vehicle registration and renewals
  • Track and comply with trucking and DOT requirements
  • Maintain and track inventory levels of materials and equipment parts, tools and PPE and organize the procurement and delivery of needed resources to job sites
  • Document and retain record of vehicles mileage, equipment maintenance, and driver logs and report on these on a quarterly basis
  • Compile and submit reports on project progress, inventory levels and compliance
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures for all operations roles
  • Main point of contact for cross-divisional team members; ensure smooth and collaborative communication
  • Provide operational support for day-to-day operational needs and problem solving, as well as support crews and foreman on project execution
  • Manage ROOMEX and lodging needs for crews; onboard and train foreman on use of ROOMEX
  • Collaborate with executive teams and department managers to develop and implement strategic plans for all processes and procedures
  • Enforce and prioritize implementation of all company operating and safety policies
  • Provide general operational support to the C.R. team members, assisting with various tasks and projects as needed

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School or GED required
  • Proven experience (2-3 years) in the construction industry, with a strong background in overseeing multi-divisional operations
  • Experience in an administrative role and experience in project management or organization
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on efficiency, safety and sustainability

WORK ENVIRONMENT [INCLUDES WORK HOURS AND WORK SETTING, TRAVEL, ETC.]

  • Primarily working in an office setting during a standard work week; Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Travel may be required on occasion to various construction job sites or other locations
