Summary/Objective
The On-Premise Craft Beer Sales Manager creates and identifies craft beer opportunities within new and existing accounts to expand sales volume, market share, product distribution and space allocation. Analyzes current accounts to maximize distribution and works collaboratively with sales representatives and management to develop product opportunities and grow company objectives. Works closely and has exceptional communication with their manager, Craft Beer Sales Representatives, co-managers, and current accounts.

Execution of strategic plans to enhance craft beer distribution, profitability, productivity, and efficiency at on-premise accounts within the designated market.

Maintain and expand sales volume, market share, product distribution, space allocation and customer service in all designated accounts.

Maintain a personnel structure and staffing level to maximize sales and profitability in an effective and efficient manner. Interviews and recommends applicants for hire.

Provide motivational leadership for employee relations through effective communication, coaching, training, and development. Ensure personnel are in a position for success both for the individual and the company.

Develop and maintain customer relationships through account visits, business updates, prompt attention to customer service opportunities and product knowledge. Provide leadership and support for situations involving problem resolution.

Manage and maintain current company brand flow within designated accounts. Ensure each account has the maximum number of products to maximize total distribution.

Maintain current Point of Sale materials at all accounts and communicate with the Print Shop and management when materials need to be ordered or are missing.

Act as a resource to Craft Beer Sales Representatives in regard to supplier updates, reset information and customer trends.

Communicate account updates, inventory levels and product opportunities with their manager.

Assist with the organization and execution of local beer events when necessary.

Attend marketing, sales, and company-wide meetings.

Partner with HR to ensure compliance and consistency with company policies, procedures, proper documentation, and other related concerns.

Prevention of accidents and injuries through direction and support to all safety procedures, job training and hazard elimination practices. Enforce company rules, investigate, and record all reported injuries or safety concerns.

Supervisory Responsibility
This role manages the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the On-Premise Craft Beer Sales Representatives. This position is responsible for carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policy and applicable laws and uses performance management coaching and training to maintain a productive team.
Work Environment
This job operates primarily in the trade, with frequent warehouse exposure, and does require travel within the designated market. This role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as a hand-truck, pallet jack, forklift and six-wheel cart as well as drive a company vehicle. This is a safety-sensitive position with the responsibility to always be cognizant of their own safety and the safety of others, must have the ability to perform job functions in a safe manner, and operate company equipment and/or vehicles with good judgment and awareness of surroundings at all times.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands; sit and drive. The employee is occasionally required to push; pull; move; carry; lift; climb and balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. The employee must be able to lift up to 75lbs occasionally and move up to 165lbs. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. The schedule is Monday through Friday with some evening events and weekend work as necessary. 40 plus hours weekly, shift start time varies based on daily need. This is an exempt level position.
Required Education and Experience
- B.S. or B.A. degree in business, sales and marketing, business administration or related field or equivalent number of years of experience.
- Experience in sales, route delivery, or distribution, with supervisory experience managing teams and individuals, coaching, and developing staff.
- Experience in the beer industry.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Account Management experience.

Employee must meet company standards for driving a company vehicle, pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check.
