Our Vision A world where everyone has a decent place to live.

At Bend-Redmond Habitat for Humanity, our ReStore is more than a retail space. It’s a community hub where donating and shopping directly power affordable homeownership in Central Oregon. The ReStore Manager leads this work—building a thriving, values-driven store that connects people to our mission and to one another. You’ll build and coach a high-performing team, create meaningful experiences for customers, donors, and volunteers, while ensuring every transaction reflects why we exist: To build homes, communities, and hope.

Job Description

What You’ll Do

  • Champion Bend-Redmond Habitat for Humanity’s mission in everything you do—showing how every donation and purchase helps build affordable homeownership and stronger communities.
  • Coach staff to confidently connect day-to-day work to mission through signage, storytelling, and daily “mission moments.”
  • Build, lead, and retain an inclusive, high-performing team grounded in our values: Integrity, Compassion, Empowerment, Belonging, and Sustainability.
  • Set clear expectations, recognize wins, address challenges directly and fairly, and invest in staff growth through regular feedback and coaching.
  • Ensure every customer, donor, and volunteer feels welcomed, respected, and valued.
  • Partner closely with our Volunteer Program Manager to create clear roles, quick onboarding, and meaningful appreciation for volunteers.
  • Make the ReStore a place people love to return to—because it feels good to be part of something bigger.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and well-merchandised store.
  • Oversee pricing, inventory flow, donation standards, and safety practices.
  • Take ownership of sales, margins, labor, and expenses—using data, simple tests, and curiosity to continuously improve results.
  • Model a “safety over speed” mindset, ensuring proper equipment use and daily attention to floor and team readiness.
  • Collaborate Across the Organization
  • Work with Construction, Homeowner Services, Resource Development, and Administration to support storytelling, material reuse, donation drives, and community engagement.
  • Help connect the dots between the ReStore and the broader impact we’re building together.

About You

  • You’re a true builder—of teams, of culture, and of momentum.
  • You thrive on building and leading high-performing teams where people feel clear, supported, and inspired to do their best work.
  • You believe culture is not a side project—it’s the work. You’re energized by creating environments rooted in trust, belonging, accountability, and shared purpose.
  • You love retail and people. You see operations, merchandising, and metrics as tools to serve both mission and team.
  • You’re motivated by community impact and excited to connect everyday actions to meaningful change.

What You Bring

  • Minimum four years of people leadership (10+ direct reports) with proven results in building strong, accountable, high-performing teams.
  • Strong customer service instincts and a commitment to excellent in-store experiences.
  • Confidence communicating with people from a wide range of backgrounds and roles.
  • Comfort meeting the physical demands of the role, including walking the facility and lifting up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to obtain forklift certification and safely operate equipment.
  • A clear alignment with our values: Integrity, Compassion, Empowerment, Belonging, and Sustainability.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.

If you’re excited by the idea of leading a store that builds more than sales—one that builds people, purpose, and community—we’d love to meet you.

Together, we build. Opportunity starts with a home.
