Website Bend-Redmond Habitat for Humanity
Our Vision A world where everyone has a decent place to live.
Overview
At Bend-Redmond Habitat for Humanity, we believe that opportunity starts with a home. We’re more than a home builder — we’re a movement of changemakers, working together to expand access to affordable homeownership in Central Oregon. We’re looking for a hands-on, people-centered Working Foreman to lead volunteers, future homeowners, and subcontractors through the homebuilding process — from foundation to final landscaping. This is a unique opportunity to build not just homes, but relationships, skills, and community.
What You’ll Do
As Working Foreman, you’ll work on-site alongside future homeowners and daily volunteer crews, guiding construction tasks while creating a safe, supportive, and inspiring experience for all participants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily construction activities — including framing, siding, windows, paint, flooring, millwork, and more.
- Welcome, train, and motivate volunteers of all skill levels, fostering an inclusive and encouraging environment that keeps them coming back.
- Partner with the Construction Site Manager to ensure quality standards, safety, and code compliance.
- Collaborate with the Volunteer Program Manager to plan for team needs and site readiness.
- Assist with warranty repairs and maintain jobsite tools and equipment.
- Suggest process improvements and material cost-saving measures to the Project Management team.
Who You Are
You’re a skilled builder who’s passionate about community. You believe in rolling up your sleeves, teaching others, and creating spaces where people feel empowered to learn and contribute.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of residential construction experience (especially carpentry or framing)
- Proven ability to lead, train, and inspire volunteers with varying experience levels
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans
- Excellent communicator — confident, clear, and friendly with volunteers and future homeowners
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing ladders, and working outdoors in all conditions
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record required
Why Join Us
When you join our team, you’re part of something bigger: a community-wide effort to ensure everyone has a safe, stable place to call home.
We offer a dynamic, mission-driven workplace where your leadership makes a daily difference — and where you’re supported with meaningful benefits:
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive pay
- Medical and dental insurance
- Retirement plan with company match
- Generous paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays
- Work/life balance with a consistent Tuesday–Saturday schedule

The Volunteer Difference
At Habitat, we build differently. Much of your work will be done alongside volunteers and future homeowners. That means every task is a chance to teach, encourage, and connect. You’ll play a key role in helping people build not only homes — but confidence, purpose, and community.
