About the Role

BASX and AAON are seeking a Welder to support manufacturing operations in Redmond. The position performs routine welds, prepares metal components and checks finished work for quality and safety while developing production-welding skills.

Starting pay is $22.20 per hour, with the possibility of a higher starting rate based on relevant experience and qualifications. The published pay range is $19.00 to $28.51 per hour.

Primary Duties

• Perform routine welds on production components according to quality standards.
• Operate welding equipment for tack welds and continuous welds.
• Use cutting tools and equipment to prepare materials.
• Grind, fit and prepare metal parts using hand and power tools.
• Select appropriate materials and welding settings.
• Inspect finished welds for consistency and basic defects.
• Follow safety procedures when handling equipment and materials.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
• Assist with material movement and other production activities as needed.
• Follow standard work instructions, participate in training and report concerns to supervisors.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous welding or manufacturing experience is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Basic knowledge of welding methods and equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions and standard procedures.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and work quality.
• Ability to work effectively with a production team.
• Basic knowledge of workplace-safety practices.

Physical and Work Requirements

• Stand for most of the work shift.
• Regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
• Use fine and gross motor skills for welding and tool operation.
• Perform repetitive tasks and visually inspect weld quality.
• Work onsite around heat, cold, dust, fumes, machinery and industrial noise.
• Wear required personal protective equipment.
• This is a safety-sensitive position.
