Job Summary:

The Office Runner will be responsible for overseeing the efficient handling of inter-office mail delivery, pharmaceutical sample transportation, food deliveries, and various other errands to ensure smooth operations at our site. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and be a team player.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inter-Office Mail Delivery: Manage and oversee the daily distribution of inter-office mail and packages, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to the appropriate departments and staff members.
  • Pharmaceutical Sample Transportation: Safely transport pharmaceutical samples in accordance with established protocols and regulations to ensure their integrity and confidentiality.
  • Food Deliveries: Conduct food deliveries, including managing orders, ensuring on-time delivery, and handling any special instructions or dietary requirements.
  • Errands and Miscellaneous Tasks: Perform various other errands and support tasks as needed, including but not limited to supply retrieval, document delivery, and maintenance of office supplies.

Requirements

  • Must be have a valid Driver’s License and vehicle to perform duties.
  • One (1) year of prior work experience as driver is preferred
  • Must be Organized, efficient and able to deliver excellent customer service to clients and local vendors
  • 1 yr. experience driving box truck or similar utility van
  • Must be able to pass a FedEx Hazardous materials transport course
  • Inspect vehicles on a regular basis to find any unsafe conditions or maintenance issues; perform routine cleaning and maintenance activities
  • Immediately reports any incidents or claims to Operations Manager or Shift Lead
  • Transport, load and unload equipment up to 50lbs repeatedly, providing daily transportation services at designated pick-up and drop-off locations
  • Ensure the safe loading and unloading of materials, including the safe operation and handling of specialized equipment and use of tie-downs
  • Refuel and maintain Transport van equipment and fuel use logs
  • Maintain a clean work environment, disinfecting van after each use, including interior/exterior of van
  • Performs pre-inspection and post-inspection activities to ensure proper operating conditions, adherence to prescribed Department of Transportation standards, and compliance with proper safety standards
  • Provide excellent customer service to client; respond to client inquiries in a courteous manner, give updates to destination, timing of deliveries etc.
