About the Role

Amazon is seeking an Operations Manager for its Rural Super Rural delivery operation in Redmond. This leader will develop salaried and hourly employees while helping the site meet goals for safety, quality, attendance, productivity and on-time customer delivery.

The position requires up to 15 weeks of training at an operating site located more than 50 miles from the home site. Amazon will arrange and pay for training travel accommodations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support, coach and motivate a team of salaried and hourly employees.
• Lead projects with site and regional impact.
• Create productivity plans using forecasts, staffing requirements and workload-balancing decisions.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity and customer-delivery commitments.
• Partner with Safety, Operations Integration, Loss Prevention, Human Resources and other support teams.
• Use operational data and analytical problem-solving to improve performance.

Basic Qualifications

• At least three years of employee and performance-management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or at least two years of full-time Amazon experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least one year of experience with performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques.

Physical and Work Requirements

• Lift up to 49 pounds.
• Stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
• Frequently push, pull, squat, bend, reach and use stairs.
• Work around changing noise levels, temperatures and weather conditions.
• Work weekends and/or overnight shifts as operational needs require.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for the Redmond position is $91,000 to $136,500 annually. The compensation package may also include sign-on payments and restricted stock units, depending on experience, qualifications and location.
