At Bend-Redmond Habitat for Humanity, our ReStore is more than a retail space. It’s a community hub where donating and shopping directly power affordable homeownership in Central Oregon. The ReStore Manager leads this work—building a thriving, values-driven store that connects people to our mission and to one another. This role is for a leader who believes culture is the engine behind lasting impact. You’ll build and coach a high-performing team, create meaningful experiences for customers, donors, and volunteers, while ensuring every transaction reflects why we exist: To build homes, communities, and hope.
Job Description
What You’ll Do
- Champion Bend-Redmond Habitat for Humanity’s mission in everything you do—showing how every donation and purchase helps build affordable homeownership and stronger communities.
- Coach staff to confidently connect day-to-day work to mission through signage, storytelling, and daily “mission moments.”
- Build, lead, and retain an inclusive, high-performing team grounded in our values: Integrity, Compassion, Empowerment, Belonging, and Sustainability.
- Set clear expectations, recognize wins, address challenges directly and fairly, and invest in staff growth through regular feedback and coaching.
- Ensure every customer, donor, and volunteer feels welcomed, respected, and valued.
- Partner closely with our Volunteer Program Manager to create clear roles, quick onboarding, and meaningful appreciation for volunteers.
- Make the ReStore a place people love to return to—because it feels good to be part of something bigger.
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and well-merchandised store.
- Oversee pricing, inventory flow, donation standards, and safety practices.
- Take ownership of sales, margins, labor, and expenses—using data, simple tests, and curiosity to continuously improve results.
- Model a “safety over speed” mindset, ensuring proper equipment use and daily attention to floor and team readiness.
- Collaborate Across the Organization
- Work with Construction, Homeowner Services, Resource Development, and Administration to support storytelling, material reuse, donation drives, and community engagement.
- Help connect the dots between the ReStore and the broader impact we’re building together.
About You

What You Bring
- Minimum four years of people leadership (10+ direct reports) with proven results in building strong, accountable, high-performing teams.
- Strong customer service instincts and a commitment to excellent in-store experiences.
- Confidence communicating with people from a wide range of backgrounds and roles.
- Comfort meeting the physical demands of the role, including walking the facility and lifting up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to obtain forklift certification and safely operate equipment.

- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
