Deschutes Brewery is currently hiring for a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to join our team! This role is responsible for accurately managing incoming and outgoing shipments for USPS, UPS, FedEx, and other carriers as applicable. This position will manage small deliveries, package outgoing Direct-to-Consumer beer, merchandise and sales sample orders. Ensures and maintains accuracy of all transactions using the designated warehouse management system to tract inventory levels and ensure timely order fulfillment.

This is a full time role based on-site in Bend, OR. The schedule for this position will typically be Monday – Friday, 7am – 3:30pm; schedules may change dependent on business need.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Process all orders for POS (point of sale) items: Internal customers, distributors and sales field managers; arrange for transportation/delivery of orders.
  • Transact all orders within the ERP System.
  • Pack, seal, label and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping.
  • Prepare shipments so that they are organized and are within marketing brand specifications for Direct-to-Consumer Beer and Merchandise Orders.
  • Prepare, pack and ship all sales and marketing sample orders.
  • Communicate with carriers to schedule deliveries, outbound shipments, and troubleshoot processes.
  • Check in small package deliveries from FedEx & UPS, and other freight carriers and notify relevant parties of delivery.
  • Manage inventory levels of all wearables and POS items by coordinating the physical count of inventory bi-monthly.
  • Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, damages, discrepancies, for reporting, accounting and record keeping purposes.
  • Be located in the shipping and receiving area to receive parcels, communicate with carriers, send outgoing postage.
  • Keep inventory organized, clean and saleable and locate adequate storage space.
  • Responsible for receiving and storing arriving shipments, stocking items, ensuring inventory accuracy.
  • Assist in managing relationships with shipping vendors and negotiating contracts.
  • Work with Sales/Marketing Department putting together and shipping Public Relation kits.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you’ll need for this position:

  • 3 or more years’ experience in a warehouse environment including UPS World Ship or small package processing.
  • A high level of skill with Microsoft programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • The ability to work across a dynamic co-owner environment/cross department environment.
  • Valid Oregon drivers license.
  • Experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Warehouse Management System, and a supply chain manufacturing environment are preferred.

  • Fast-paced warehouse environment
  • Ability to repeatedly lift 50 pounds
