Community Investment Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:

Supports the Regional Marketing Director and Community Investment Strategist to implement national and regional community investment plans according to specific business goals, budgets and timelines. Coordinates across inter-departmental teams to build successful relationships, provides performance analysis for programs implemented, and assists in the creation and execution of regional community investment plans, including  owned and branded programs along with 3rd party sponsorships.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

40% – With direction and support from the Regional Marketing Director and Community Investment Strategist, coordinate and execute community investment program deliverables, including signage, ads, bouncebacks, digital assets.

30% – Working with Store Management, develop and execute owned community investment program templates for stores to implement in their communities. Incorporate store feedback into templates as needed.

20% – Coordinate post analyses of plan tactics. Process invoices and track spending related to budget.

10% – Additional marketing projects such as marketplace and competitive analysis, researching new partnerships, and other projects as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Educational/Experience Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business preferred, plus a minimum of 3 years prior marketing experience, preferably in a retail environment.

Required Technical Skills/Knowledge: 

  • Thorough understanding of retail marketing planning and analytical principles, sales analysis, and promotion performance analytics
  • Working knowledge of productivity applications (Google G Suite, MS Office, etc.)
  • Thoughtspot and Tableau experience a plus

General Knowledge and Abilities: 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, including limited project planning and management
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and projects simultaneously through effective delegation to internal and external teams
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to set and meet multiple deadlines
  • 25% domestic travel

Physical Requirements: Frequent use of keyboard and telephone, ability to operate standard office equipment.  Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.

Work Environment: 75% Office setting. 25% in field – attending events, meeting with Store Managers, sponsorship contacts and community partners.
