Are you an experienced manufacturing leader driven to bring cutting-edge solutions to a rapidly growing industry? As an Area Supervisor at Suterra, you’ll drive process control and oversee, support, and coach a dynamic team of individuals, making an impact by producing products that support sustainable agriculture.
This position is based in our Bend, Oregon headquarters and requires onsite presence Monday – Friday 5:00 am-3:30 pm.
The training process for the Area Supervisor role is as follows:
For the first 9-14 months- your focus will be on learning!
- You will be taught how to operate all areas of manufacturing so you can better support your team, jump in if needed, and understand expectations.
- Focus on learning all the tools necessary to eventually oversee your assigned area(s) of manufacturing.
- You will gain experience in all aspects of our operation including production area oversight, supply chain logistics, quality control, engineering support projects, and continuous improvement projects.
Pay Structure:
- Starting pay is $25.00-$28.00 per hour DOE. That’s a base salary of $52,000-$52,240 a year, with built in overtime each week putting you around $70,000-$80,000 each year starting pay (dependent on amount of overtime worked).
- After a year of service and a fully signed-off training list, the Area Supervisor position can receive a compensation increase.
Upon achieving full sign-off and proficiency in all training areas, you will be promoted to Area Supervisor with a compensation increase.
- Be expected to uphold and maintain company standards within your Manufacturing Team. This includes fielding questions, conducting check- ins/difficult conversations, editing timesheets, etc.
- Lead cross-training efforts to improve the overall capability of the team.
- Identify/Support and spearhead process improvements to increase Safety, Quality, and Efficiency.
- Support logistics both internationally and domestically.
- Coordinate with cross-functional groups including Safety, Quality, R&D, Engineering, and Sourcing.
- Utilize Microsoft Dynamics 365 (ERP) to control all aspects of the operation including inventory control, labor utilization, product costings, and finished goods.
- Tracking performance metrics and mastery for your team on different areas of manufacturing and production, as well as develop proposals to optimize workflows.
