We are recruiting for a Human Resources Manager to oversee the Company’s critical human resources functions The successful candidate will support the management team to meet business needs and ensure the proper implementation of company strategy and objectives. This positions carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, performance management, policy implementation, recruitment & employment onboarding, benefits administration and employment law compliance.

The goal of the Human Resources team is to support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of our biggest asset, our employees.

Salary range is between $85,000 and $100,000 per year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR workforce strategies and initiatives in collaboration with the management team
  • Oversee the recruitment and selection process ensuring that staffing needs are met and employees have a successful onboarding
  • Ensure planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees, hearing and resolving employee grievances and counseling employees and supervisors
  • Develop and deliver training to employees and/or supervisory groups
  • Continuously improve performance appraisal process utilizing effective solutions that meet manager and employee needs and drive high performance; create appropriate recognition programs and career path development plans
  • Maintain employee benefits program by assessing benefit needs and trends, recommend benefit programs to management, coordinate annual renewals and promote education
  • Assist with administration of employee benefits and compensation programs including regulatory reporting, and overall employee records management and documentation
  • Collaborate with safety for incident investigation, post incident response, workers compensation, insurance and/or third party communication as needed; make recommendation for any disciplinary process based on investigation
  • Ensure compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, maintaining records and representing the organization at hearings
  • Develop and maintain job descriptions
  • Administer 401k retirement savings plan according to plan requirements; participate in 401k committee ; promote participation and create educational opportunities for employees
  • Engage in all aspects of day to day Human Resources responsibilities as needed with a commitment to the philosophy that a successful team contains a spirit of cooperation and collaboration
  • Additional duties consistent with position as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Three years + working experience as HR Generalist or HR Manager
  • PHR or SHRM-CP required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
  • Experience implementing and using an HRIS and/or HR database to create efficiencies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to approach and resolve employee conflict
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Ability to create a trusting environment by being approachable and confidential
  • Demonstrate high level of interpersonal skills utilizing tact, diplomacy, problem solving and active listening with employees at every level of the Company
  • People oriented, team player and results driven
  • Desire for continuous improvement of professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing networks
