DESCRIPTION:

As a Property & Guest Care Manager, you will play the most vital role: Ensuring that our homeowners and our guests have an exceptional experience with Cascara Vacation Rentals.

You will be responsible for maintaining the upkeep of our properties, following through with the cleanliness and preparedness for each stay, and providing prompt and courteous assistance to guests and owners whenever needed. The position requires a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service.

The ideal candidate for this role should have previous experience in hospitality, property management, or a related field. You should be comfortable working independently and as part of a team, and be able to adapt to changing priorities and guest needs. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, as you will be interacting with guests, owners and colleagues daily with the ability to problem-solve under pressure.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Housekeeping Management:

  • Follow housekeeping protocols and standards for consistent property cleanliness and presentation.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure properties meet cleanliness and aesthetic standards before guest arrivals.
  • Ensure rental properties are clean and welcoming upon guest arrival.
  • Identify and address maintenance issues, making small repairs when possible
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team for repairs and improvements.
  • Maintain inventory of amenities, linens, and other essentials.
  • Conduct routine inventory checks to ensure adequate stock levels.
  • Evaluate and refine housekeeping processes for efficiency and reduced turnaround times.
  • Assist in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and training housekeeping staff.
  • Give Housekeeping feedback when necessary.

Guest Experience:

  • Address guest feedback and housekeeping-related concerns promptly.
  • Enhance guest experience through upsells and gifts
  • Communicate via multiple channels with guests and owners
  • Implement technologies to enhance communication, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Foster a positive team environment and promote open communication.
  • Cover shifts for team members when necessary.
  • Deliver items to guests and owners
  • Handle issues with guests if they arise, during business hours and after hours on an emergency basis
  • 1 Week On Call with 3 weeks off on call(when fully staffed)

Owner Experience:

  • Reach out to owners quarterly to check in and see how they are doing.
  • Run Reports on each of your homes to ensure rents are up; if down, research the issue and set a time to reach out to the owner to address the situation
  • Work with owners when items need to be updated
  • Keep the owner in the loop with renter damage issues and or projects

Reporting and Analytics:

  • Maintain records and generate reports on housekeeping performance.
  • Use data-driven insights to identify trends and optimize operations.
  • Run reports to make sure guests are paid up and all needs are met before arrival

.Administrative Duties:

  • Ensure adherence to Short-Term Vacation Rental (STVR) regulations.
  • Print and submit invoices timely.
  • Handle document shredding for confidentiality.
  • Answer and manage incoming calls professionally.
  • Manage office supplies and maintain stock levels.
  • Proficient in the use of calendars and scheduling your time in the most efficient manner

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Experience in housekeeping and guest care within the hospitality or vacation rental industry
  • Understanding of housekeeping best practices, cleaning techniques, and safety protocols
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Must be highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Excellent team and interpersonal skills to work with a diverse team
  • Proficient in using technology and software for scheduling, reporting, and communication
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make quick, effective decisions
