In our work, details matter. As a Project Manager, assigned to one or more of our projects, you’ll be responsible to keep track of the details. The Project Manager serves as a liaison between the Client, the office, other support staff, and Subcontractors to make sure a construction project proceeds safely, accurately, and smoothly. The Project Manager has a delegated responsibility for those elements of a construction project that bring it from plans to close out. They’re ordering materials, setting up subcontractors, attending customer meetings, supporting the field superintendent, and relaying crucial information back to the office. You’ll find yourself in the field most days, watching the work unfold in front of you. This career is the hub of information between the field and the office.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Assist with job controls to ensure compliance with contract, budget, schedule, forecasting and job costing.
- Interpret design/drawings for craft workers installing material to ensure specifications are followed.
- Maintain job files (RFIs, specifications, addenda, construction documents etc.) in both hard and soft copy formats as the project requires.
- Prepare, review, and distribute RFIs, submittals, and other contract documents in a timely manner; ensure compliance with the contract documents. Execute the project within initial established financial boundaries.
- Make sure subcontracts are executed and insurance is in place; provide clear definitions of work responsibility to subcontractors and vendors from various trades and ensure that all phases of the work are covered; review and approve subcontractor and vendor payment requests.

- Effectively partner with all construction leaders to ensure teamwork and be a safety leader for all field operations.
- Collaborate with other Project Managers and Administrative Staff.
- Provide technical support and direction regarding project material controls including delivery dates, construction schedules and design requirements to ensure additional costs are minimized.
- Manage the procurement log in coordination with the Project Manager and the Project Superintendent to avoid delays and/or impacts.
- Communicate with owners and inspectors.
- Review subcontract and self-perform change orders on the job site; perform quantity takeoffs to validate the change requests.
Requirements:
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Able to manage time appropriately and assign priority to your work duties.
- Attention to detail
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
- Candidates must demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence with the ability to build relationships and work with multiple personality types.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in the construction industry with related role is preferable, but not required.
- Knowledge of safety procedures.
- Must be proficient with a variety of related computer software applications including MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Project, Word), PDF and estimating and document programs.
- Strong personal organizational skills.
