Vestibular Therapy Specialists (VTS) are a physical therapist owned private practice located in Bend, OR with a second clinic location in Seattle, WA. We are well respected in the area known to provide specialized, high-quality care for vestibular (inner ear) conditions. Responsibilities
The position includes but is not limited to:
- Create a warm, welcoming, inclusive front desk environment for patients
- Provide information and answer general questions regarding the VTS intake procedures and flow of physical therapy clinic
- Organize intake forms and documents of new patients
- Assist patients with making appointments, checking in for sessions and connecting with providers
- Answer emails or phone calls, as volume requires
- Trouble-shoot and problem solve inquiries, challenging situations and/or complaints, with the attempt to resolve; escalate to supervisor if needed
- Assist in cleaning and tidying the clinic
- Support administrative staff and clinicians with clinic tasks
Qualifications and skills required:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Interest in Exercise Science, Sports Performance and Fitness preferred – students who are pursuing a physical therapy or pre-physical therapy degree program are encouraged to apply
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to interact with others in a positive, constructive, professional manner
- Ability and/or experience working with sensitive populations
- Ability to work independently with general training/supervision and as part of a dynamic team
- Demonstrated experience with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to/experience with learning technology tools; familiarity with gmail, Zoom, any health medical records, or at least be willing to learn new skills
Time Commitment:
We hope to have a part-time schedule with consistent days of the week and time commitment with at least 4 hours of service per day, 3-5 days per week to cover phones and clinical tasks. Amount of hours we are looking to fulfill is 20-30 hours/week, with potential to increase hours as workload demands.
Clinic is open Monday – Friday, 8-5pm
Dress code: Professional, neat, and clean at all times. Consider pants, dress tops, closed toed shoes or tennis shoes. Please do not wear perfume/fragrance of any kind, jeans, shorts, t-shirts with logos/designs on them, dresses, skirts, sheer clothing, low cut tops, low pants, or sandals.
For students: If you are looking for verified observation hours, we require the following a minimum of 50 hours; a schedule with a consistent day and time. There is a requirement of a minimum of 100 hours of time to request a letter of recommendation from a clinician for PTCAS/OTCAS. Please provide us with 4 weeks notice if this is a requirement you are trying to achieve so we have ample time to schedule the hours. Note that the therapist has the right to refuse the request for a letter of recommendation at any time if commitments are not met.
