A local’s and guest’ favorite, The Owl’s Nest, is looking to hire a batender for our summer season! Perched just up the stairs in the lodge, the Owl’s Nest has been part of Sunriver’s history and heritage since 1969.The Bartender is responsible for mixing and serving drinks to guests. They will ensure legal age limits for all alcohol consumption. The Bartender assists in maintaining the AAA Four Diamond Standards. The Bartender will always conduct themselves in a manner which supports the guiding principles of Sunriver Resort: Trust, Commitment, and Open and Honest Communication. They shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times and for exemplifying the Sunriver Resort Culture as well as promoting Sunriver Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!


Maintains a commitment to customer service and guest satisfactionMixes ingredients to prepare cocktails and other beverages according to recipeMaintains cleanliness of walk-ins and reach-insAdheres to all OLCC and Sunriver Resort policiesEnsures cleanliness of bar and glasswareTakes food and beverages orders, using POS system to ring items inEnsures opening, ongoing and closing sidework is complete and signed off by a manager on dutyCounts money in cash drawers at end of shift to ensure the amounts are correct and there is adequate changeEnsures end of shift bank is balanced with appropriate procedures followed in daily dropObtains credit cards to begin tabsMust ensure bookkeeping and proper payment is received Maintains season liquor, beer and wine parsResponsible for daily requisition completion Properly reports tips and hours at the end of each shift using the proper documents for recordingEnsures supplies/ingredients are properly stocked before, during and after shiftChecks identification to verify age requirements for alcohol purchase/consumptionOffers menu advise and suggestions to guests


High school education requiredAt least one year resort server experience preferredAt least one year food & beverage experience preferredAt least six months experience with POS systems preferredAt least one year bartending experience preferredAt least one year of customer service experience requiredPrior hospitality experience preferred Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permitMust be at least 21 years of ageMust possess valid OLCC card upon hireMust possess valid Food Handler’s card upon hireAbility to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidaysMust be able to stand on feet throughout the shift, with intermittent periods of walking and stair climbing.Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs at shoulder height Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs;
