The Groundskeeper is responsible for working in a team environment to ensure the overall upkeep and eye appeal of the Caldera Springs Owners’ Association (CSOA) grounds. They will use a variety of tools, machines and other necessary materials to provide maintenance and landscaping to the grounds. In addition, the groundskeeper will also be responsible for the upkeep of the restrooms and other CSOA public areas. The Groundskeeper will assist with maintaining the AAA Four Diamond standards.  The Groundskeeper will always conduct him/herself in manner which supports the Core Values of Sunriver Resort: Trust, Commitment, and Open and Honest Communication. They shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times and for exemplifying the Sunriver Resort Culture as well as promoting Sunriver Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!


Operates powered equipment such snow blowers, chain saws, electric clippers, brush trimmer, lift trucks, and pruning sawsResponsible for assisting in the routine upkeep and landscape of the adopt-a-road programCleans designated restrooms including shower stalls, toilets & urinals, mirrors and sinks, countertops and floorsMaintains bike pathsAssists with maintaining all noxious weeds in the areaCleans up downed trees by cutting and hauling to woodpilesMaintains and cares for tennis courtsUses hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, and hedge and brush trimmers.Prunes and trims trees, shrubs and hedges, using shears, pruners or chain sawsGathers and removes litterMaintains and repairs grounds tools and equipmentMixes and sprays fertilizers, herbicides and insecticides onto grass, shrubs and trees using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders under supervision.Provides proper upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, planters and other ground featuresIrrigates plants/flowers Assists with general installation and repairs of irrigations systemsProvides general gardening dutiesContacts appropriate party if when a guest problem is reportedProvides general resort information for guestsOffers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests of Sunriver Resort/homeowners as s/he may come in contact with guests during their daily dutiesResolves guest problems and is empowered to act in absence of managerMaintains an up to date working knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special eventsInteracts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary informationUp sells other resort services and amenities to guestsAlways maintains a professional demeanor and attitude Communicates all pertinent information to the CSOA teamMaintains constant awareness of safety issues, (i.e. broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks and suspicious persons). Reports all safety incidents to on-duty supervisor.


High school diploma or equivalentPrior landscaping/grounds experience preferredAt least one year customer service experience preferredMust be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permitMust have a valid Oregon Driver’s license and meet company driving standardsAbility to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidaysMust have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the guests and associatesMust be able to repetitively lift, push, pull & carry up to 25 lbs., frequently up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 75 lbs.;
