Overview

The Lake House is hiring! Enjoy a warm and friendly atmosphere with views of Obsidian Lake and Mt. Bachelor. The Lake House is hiring for a seasonal bartender. The Bartender is responsible for mixing and serving drinks to guests. They will ensure legal age limits for all alcohol consumption. The Bartender assists in maintaining the AAA Four Diamond Standards. The Bartender will always conduct them self in a manner that supports the Core Values of Sunriver Resort:Trust, Open & Honest Communication, and Commitment. The Bartender shall strive to provide exceptional service to our guests at all times. Bartenders will be responsible for exemplifying the Sunriver Resort Culture as well as promoting Sunriver Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!

Responsibilities

Maintains a commitment to customer service and guest satisfactionProvide F&B poolside service as requiredMixes ingredients to prepare cocktails and other beverages according to recipeMaintains cleanliness of walk-ins and reach-insAdheres to all OLCC, Food Handlers and CPR standards and Sunriver Resort policiesEnsures cleanliness of bar and glasswareTakes food and beverages orders, using POS system to ring items inEnsures opening, ongoing and closing sidework is complete Counts money in cash drawers at end of shift to ensure the amounts are correct and there is adequate changeEnsures end of shift bank is balanced with appropriate procedures followed in daily dropObtains credit cards or room information to begin tabsMust ensure bookkeeping and proper payment is received Maintains seasonal liquor, beer and wine parsProperly reports tips and hours at the end of each shift using the proper documents for recordingEnsures supplies/ingredients are properly stocked before, during and after shiftChecks identification to verify age requirements for alcohol purchase/consumptionOffers menu advice and suggestions to guestsMaintains a strong knowledge of beverage trends

Qualifications

High school education requiredAt least one year food & beverage experience preferredAt least six months experience with POS systems preferredAt least one year bartending experience preferredAt least one year of customer service experience requiredMust be at least 21 years of ageMust possess valid OLCC card upon hireMust possess valid Food Handler’s card upon hire Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidaysMust be able to frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs at shoulder height Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs;
