Do you have banquet experience? Looking to work for Oregon’s Top 100 buisnesses to work for? Sunriver Resort is hiring a lead banquet Houseperson! The Banquet Houseperson Lead is responsible for leading the physical set-up and turnovers of all banquet events under the direct supervision of the Banquet Houseperson Supervisor. S/he will follow specific Banquet Event Orders to ensure accuracy for the set-up. The Houseman will maintain the cleanliness and eye appeal of the banquet space. The Banquet Houseperson Lead will assist in maintaining the AAA Four Diamond Standards. The Banquet Houseperson Lead will always conduct them self in manner which supports the Core Values of Sunriver Resort: Trust, Commitment, and Open and Honest Communication. S/he Lead shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times and for exemplifying the Sunriver Resort Culture as well as promoting Sunriver Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!


Maintains a commitment to customer service and guest satisfactionProvides general resort information for guestsResolves guest issues promptly and with great care and effectivenessOffers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests of Sunriver Resort including use of guest name & good eye contact with each guestMaintains an up to date working knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special eventsPrepares all banquet space prior to eventsTears down all banquet space after eventsFollows Banquet Event Orders with strong attention to detailMaintains a strong knowledge of various types of set-up Assists the banquet servers/captains with clearing of tables as needed Assists the A/V team with setting up equipmentAssists with all set-up functions to include setting silverware, draping tables, folding napkins and arranging centerpieces/décor Removes centerpieces/décor after events and stores appropriatelyRemoves soil linens and stores appropriatelyAssists with transporting food/beverages to event locationAttends appropriate resort, division and department meetingsMaintains the cleanliness of banquet storage roomsAssembles dance floorsArranges buffets, stages and podiumsCommunicates all pertinent information to the banquets team


High school education requiredAt least one year of customer service experience preferredPrior hospitality experience preferred Must have valid Oregon driver’s license and meet company driving standardsMust possess valid OLCC card upon hireMust possess valid Food Handler’s card upon hireMust be professional in appearance and demeanorMust always ensure a teamwork environmentAbility to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidaysMust have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful mannerMust be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs;
