Partners In Care is seeking a new Marketing and Communications Manager to lead our marketing and communication efforts to promote our amazing programs.

The Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and executing the marketing, and communications functions of Partners In Care. The Marketing and Communications Manager works closely with management, the Outreach team, outside vendors, media sources, and administrative staff to create and place appropriate messages that promote a culture of service resulting in increased visibility and utilization of program services provided by Partners In Care.

 

In this important role – you will:

Strategic leadership

Develop and implement a Communications and Marketing strategy that supports the overall hospice strategy and goals.
Lead and deliver an inspiring and engaging multi-channel digital sub-strategy and content plan, considering all relevant platforms, and utilizing social media to its full potential.
Ensure that ‘best practice’ is the norm for the communications team (including contractors) and support the wider hospice in utilizing and adhering to communications guidance, to include training staff members when necessary. 
Brand & Marketing
Lead and fully manage key hospice materials involving all stakeholders as required.
Hold ownership of the hospice brand, ensuring compliance and consistency across the organization. Ensure all departments are fully briefed and have appropriate brand control and templates where necessary.
Support contractors in managing the Hospice website (including all administration and training), leveraging website to meet Hospice strategies such as education, ease of referral, and the hub of end-of-life care and grief support resources, optimizing partnerships with reciprocal website links. Overall ownership and oversight of Hospice website content.
Support and manage Hospice social media networking sites to ensure the Hospice maximizes every opportunity for positive coverage and growth of brand
Gather and create new multimedia content on a continuous basis, ensuring that the team maintains an up-to-date photo and video library that holds creative content that promotes the work of the Hospice in a positive manner.
Be responsible for leading and coordinating the communications and marketing elements of national campaigns and local events that the Outreach Department supports.
Manage and oversee all publications and marketing materials to promote the services of the Hospice, ensuring that the copy and creative concepts conform to brand guidelines and are fit for the audience purpose. 
Media Relations

Further develop media relations locally and when needed, nationally, with the aim of increasing the hospice’s profile as a thought-leader and expert in hospice and palliative care.
Manage a creative press schedule, targeting local and regional media and ensuring regular coverage in all local publications.
Drive forward Hospice exposure in print and on TV, Radio, and new media as
Manage crisis communication to mitigate any potentially damaging media
Lead the communications department in handling media inquiries outside of normal officehours, including responding to social media, as well as attending various events to support the gathering of photographs, film and news release content on occasional weekends and evenings.
Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders in local media for the strategic benefit of the Hospice.
Communications
Develop and implement a communications plan that maximizes opportunities to increase Partners In Care’s status, locally, and nationally, as appropriate.
Ensure that by implementing effective marketing campaigns, key messages reach the target audiences in a timely and proactive manner.
Work closely with the Director of Development to ensure the communications program fully support the targets set by the organization for income generation.
Work closely with the Business Development Director to ensure a tailored strategic approach is adopted in line with all priorities and goals.
Responsible for identifying and prioritizing digital marketing opportunities, which may include managing the work of an external digital media.

he successful candidate will possess the following:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Minimum of five (5) years of successful experience managing a marketing and communications program.
High level of organizational sophistication, nonprofit business savvy, communications skills, and relationship/negotiation skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to persuade, collaborate, and communicate effectively with business and community leaders, volunteers, elected officials, medical professionals, patients and their families.
Excellent organization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
Robust computer skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a diverse group of individuals. Self-motivated.
Must demonstrate fit with the mission and values of Partners In Care.
Must be able to pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug test.
Safe driving record; current vehicle insurance; valid driver’s license; and ability to use personal vehicle for Partners In Care business.
Willingness to travel and work evenings and weekends as needed.
