Job Description

A well-established COMMERCIAL General Contractor specializing in HOTEL Renovation and Construction is currently seeking experienced Senior Construction Superintendents to join our team. We are looking for local in Bend, Organ.

We are seeking a candidate with hotel remodeling experience. The Senior Superintendent is responsible for promoting and ensuring site safety, maintaining effective communication with Projects Executives and Project Team on all construction matters. The Senior Superintendent must have comprehensive knowledge of day to day field operations for assigned project including project planning, coordinating, sequencing and scheduling of work, and supervising subcontractors and vendors to ensure the work is completed on time and within budget while adhering to Company safety and quality standards. The Superintendent must develop and maintain a positive Company reputation with owner/client, owner/client representatives, design team, local jurisdictions, and community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create, maintain, and execute the project plan and schedule with the project team.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of sequencing of work.
  • Thorough understanding of project documents plans and specs, and special requirements or conditions of job site.
  • Advise management of potential problems, work interferences, schedule conflicts/difficulties, and delays.
  • Anticipate and resolve project issues and schedule difficulties.
  • Responsible for job site safety and cleanliness, implementing, enforcing, and effectively managing safety policy and procedures.
  • Supervise subcontractors to ensure that safety requirements are adequately met.
  • Conduct weekly/monthly subcontractor’s meetings.
  • Develop and oversee punch list program.
  • Act in a manner of integrity that shows support for the Company, its CORE values, and employees.
  • Ensure project materials and workmanship meet the project Quality Standards.
  • Ensure that required inspections are completed at the appropriate time and permits are signed off.
  • Maintain the project’s daily Job Logs.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with Owner, Client, Design Team, and City officials.
  • Mentor, teach and inspire younger employees.
  • Monitor sub trade work to ensure the plans and specs requirements are met.
  • Manage subcontractors to ensure they maintain the project schedule.

Job Skills and Abilities

  • Experience with MEP, structural steel/rebar and concrete, framing, TI buildout, high end hotels, kitchen and adaptive reuse.
  • Ability to plan ahead and schedule work activities.
  • Ability to read and thoroughly understand plans and construction documents.
  • Must be reliable and responsive with strong values and ethics.
  • Must be proactive, flexible, responsible and resourceful.
  • Must work well under pressure, be self-managed, motivated and able to work independently.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees while inspiring respect and credibility.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, computer and decision making/problem solving skills.
  • Foster teamwork and collaboration.
  • Knowledge of Procore, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office.

Education and/or Experience

  • First Aid and CPR Certified
  • 10-Hour / 30-Hour OSHA Trained
  • STS-C Certification
  • Minimum of 10 years construction industry experience
  • 4-year bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, business, or construction management or equivalent combination of experience and/or training within a technical field
