Description

At Bend-Redmond Habitat for Humanity (BRHFH), we build more than homes — we build hope, community, and lasting change. As a Community Engagement Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of that mission, connecting people to a shared purpose and igniting action for housing justice across Central Oregon.

Why Join Us?

We Are A Culture Rooted in Core Values

We lead with integrity, compassion, empowerment, belonging, and sustainability. Here, you’re not just doing a job — you’re shaping a more equitable future through relationship-building, storytelling, and service.

From the families we partner with to the volunteers and supporters who fuel our work, every day at BRHFH is grounded in human connection. We see every interaction as a chance to strengthen our community — and we’ll support you to grow, lead, and innovate boldly along the way.

Our team prioritizes well-being, equity, and growth. You’ll be surrounded by colleagues who value collaboration, celebrate success, and approach challenges with resilience and curiosity.

About the Role

As the Community Engagement Coordinator, you’ll help amplify BRHFH’s mission through outreach, partnerships, volunteerism, and community events. This highly relational role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and believes in the power of collective action.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations, civic groups, and local leaders.
  • Represent BRHFH at events, tabling opportunities, and school visits.
  • Coordinate logistics and staffing for outreach events.
  • Assist with storytelling and promotional efforts — capturing photos, quotes, and community voices.
  • Support volunteer recruitment, scheduling, onboarding, and appreciation.
  • Maintain accurate volunteer records and track outreach activity.
  • Provide on-site support during volunteer days and orientations.
  • Reflect BRHFH’s values in all community and volunteer interactions.

You Are Someone Who:

  • Is passionate about affordable housing and social equity.
  • Brings warmth and energy to every conversation — from one-on-one chats to small group presentations.
  • Enjoys juggling many tasks and staying organized amid the hustle of events and outreach.
  • Is comfortable using email, social media, and basic tech tools.
  • Thrives working with diverse people and creating inclusive, welcoming experiences.
  • Can flex your schedule for occasional evening and weekend activities. Some of the events you will attend occur after work hours or on the weekends.

What You’ll Get:

  • A workplace that encourages you to speak up, innovate, and learn continuously.
  • The chance to make tangible change alongside a team that deeply believes in our mission.
  • A culture of appreciation, transparency, and collaboration — where your contributions are seen and celebrated.

If you believe in the power of community and want your work to matter — we’d love to meet you.

Apply today and help us build a stronger Central Oregon, one relationship at a time.
